A woman has died after a crash involving a Land Rover in Newton-Le-Willows.
Merseyside Police were called to Church Street at the junction of Park Road North in at 11.30am on Wednesday, August 20. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a Land Rover Freelander had been involved in a collision with another vehicle at the junction.
The 74-year-old woman, who was driving the Land Rover Freelander, was taken to hospital in a serious condition but died a short time later. There were no other reported injuries.

Her family have been made aware and are being supported by police officers.
Sergeant Simon Duffy from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the lady who died following this collision. We are investigating the circumstances of this incident and HM Coroner will be made aware.
“If anyone saw the incident, I would be grateful if they could give my team a call.
“Similarly, I would urge any residents who have any CCTV or doorbell footage at their properties on the junction to check and see if it has captured the build up to this incident. Any piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant it may appear, could assist us in our investigation.”
