A night bus has returned to Merseyside but we want to know which other routes you would like to see run after midnight.
The N1, which runs between Allerton and Birkenhead with several stops in Liverpool city centre, entered service just after midnight today. The service is operated by Stagecoach and buses will run every hour until 5am every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The night bus returns after late night services were scrapped during the pandemic. The return has been met with a positive reaction, offering people a cheaper way to get home from a night out in the city centre and opening up Birkenhead's nightlife to more people from the city region.

The N1 is the only night bus running from town and since the news emerged, people living in areas of Merseyside not served by it have expressed a desire to see more routes operate after midnight. Merseyrail, Northern Rail and the remainder of the buses serving the city region all shut down around midnight, leaving people having to fork out for taxis home from nights out or shift work.
We want to know where else you would like to see a night bus run to or which routes you would like to see extended after midnight. Let us know in the form below or in the comments.
