A police cordon is in place after a raft of emergency services were called to a busy roundabout.
Officers, paramedics and firefighters are in Skelmersdale to deal with the ongoing incident. Attention is focused around the Half Mile Island roundabout and the woodland surrounding Half Mile Island fishing lake.

Firefighters can be seen wearing PPE masks and carrying bags of unknown goods. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident is "police led" and would not comment further.
