An air ambulance has landed after two police officers were "stabbed" in the street.
A cordon was in place on on Wood Road on the border of Whalley Range and Stretford in South Manchester. A moped-type bike could be seen on the floor inside the cordon next to a car.
A number of paramedic vehicles attended and the air ambulance was seen landing nearby. Specialist forensic crime scene investigation (CSI) officers also later attended, MEN reports.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have been approached for further information but are yet to comment on the incident.
