Pride in Liverpool will be taking over the city centre with a colourful array of music, dancing and partying.

A venue in Liverpool’s Metquarter is set to join the celebrations on Saturday, July 29 – with its own bottomless drag brunch. Hosted by drag queens, Twin Flame Drag Duo, Luna and Suzie, from noon until 3pm guests can enjoy 90-minute slots of “free-flowing beer, prosecco and cocktails” at The GPO.

Attendees expect an “iconic afternoon”, with The Terrace Party reopening and a DJ to get the party started followed by games and raffles.

Luna and Suzie, who have been best friends for four years, told the ECHO: “Creating safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community is so important. It’s about making us feel included and welcomed. Pride is a celebration of love and hope, seeing people from all walks of life come together to celebrate each other – it’s truly beautiful. We’re looking forward to hosting the brunch and making people laugh, smile and dance.”

Straight Outta Canton, a street food pop-up, will be in attendance cooking its classic Punjabi dishes and showcasing its French cooking and barbequing techniques. An exclusive Pride cocktail menu will also be on offer, combining traditional cocktail flavours with a twist.

To give back to the community, GPO Food Market and its food partners will be donating 10% of the proceeds on food dishes and Pride cocktails to the LCR Pride Foundation. Tickets start from £35 and are available to purchase online.

Situated in the heart of Liverpool, Metquarter is a one-stop destination for shopping, food and entertainment and home to local brands including Kids Cavern and Cricket Fashion alongside lots of other independent retailers and crafters.

It is the home of LMA, Robbie Williams' media, music and performing arts institution, educating some of the city’s most creative talent.

Metquarter is also a social hub with entertainment facilities including Everyman Cinema and GPO food hall, the newest operator bringing some of Liverpool’s best food vendors together under one roof.
