Dozens of people have paid tribute to an 18-year-old who died after being hit by a Yodel van.
Emergency services were called to Dale Street, near to the junction with Hatton Garden, at around 3.45pm on Monday, September 18. At the scene they found an 18-year-old had been hit with a van.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives have confirmed his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.

Merseyside police is now appealing for information. Detective sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "Tragically the man has died and our thoughts are very much with his family and friends.
"We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and the events leading up to it to contact us. If you were in the area at the time, please review your CCTV or dashcam in case the incident was captured.

Dozens of people have paid tribute to the 18-year-old, with many parents sending their love and thoughts to the man and his family.
Helen Hamilton Brugts said: "Just left my 18yr old son starting university seconds from where this happened… he could see all the emergency services (who were so quick to respond) from his student accommodation and was messaging me the road was closed, that it didn’t look good. Thankfully I knew he was ok before I’d seen this. My heart breaks that someone’s son wasn’t ok and for this young man’s family. They have been in my thoughts. RIP."

Vera Yorke said: "Condolences to this young man's family and friends such a tragedy and so young."
