Tributes to a man "with the most perfect soul" have poured in after news of his sudden death.
Pride Quarter venues and members of the city’s LGBTQ+ community were among the hundreds of people to have shared their shock and sadness at the news that Loughlan Brown, a 22-year-old from Norris Green and who was known as Locky, had died.
The Poste House, on Cumberland Street, were the first to confirm the news in a post on social media. Heaven on Victoria Street and GBar on Eberle Street, where Locky previously worked, followed suit with their own tributes and words of condolences after the tragic news.

In a post on Facebook, the Poste House said: “It’s one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to write on this page. You will always be remembered by all of us at the Postie for being such a pleasant person with one of the best smiles we’ve ever seen. Words cannot describe the sadness and hurt that we are all feeling right now. Such a lovely young lad gone way too soon. RIP Locky.”
Heaven Liverpool wrote: "We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Loughlan, an amazing young man in the community who never stopped smiling and spreading joy to everyone he met. Our thoughts and love go out to all his friends and family."
On Instagram, GBar Liverpool added: "All of us at G Bar are in absolute shock and disbelief at the tragic news of our friend and former staff member Loughlan. Such a lovely guy, gone far too soon. RIP."
After reading the news, hundreds more took to social media with their own memories of Locky.
Mikey Hunter said: "Our Locky. A smile that would light up any room. Devastated is an understatement. Love you forever Loughlan." Jade Tobin added: "Oh Locky. I have no words whatsoever, this is so sad. You'll be missed so much Locky."
Kiera Kray penned: "Will forever miss that beautiful smile. You are so incredibly loved Locky." Poppy Kean wrote: "The most perfect soul. So so loved." Dan Mck added: "Absolutely lovely guy. Heartbroken, not a bad thing to say about you. Got me a drink or two in town at one point and I just wish I could have returned the favour. So much respect to you mate."
Charley McGivern said: "RIP Locky, you're going to be missed by so many. Everyone loves you." Jo Dahlaoui added: "Absolutely heartbreaking news, such a beautiful character inside and out."
Former colleagues of Locky's from McDonald's Albert Dock have said they are planning a balloon release in memory of him on Monday, October 2. Those wanting to attend are encouraged to bring a balloon or lantern "to send up to Locky in heaven".
