Three "young" children are in hospital after a woman was cut from her car following a crash.

Merseyside Police were called to Hoole Road in Woodchurch, Wirral, at around 5pm on Monday, December 18, following reports of a two car crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a red Ford Fiesta, with two people inside, and a white Hyundai i10, with four people inside, had crashed.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene due to one woman being trapped inside the Hyundai. Crews cut off the roof of the car and were able to safely remove the woman inside.
