A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape following reports a woman was sexually assaulted at Edge Hill University.
Lancashire Police were called to the St Helen's Road campus of Edge Hill University on Wednesday, January 24, following reports of a sexual assault. Investigations are ongoing.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and taken to a local police station for questioning, LancsLive reports. He has since been bailed pending further investigation.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We received a report of a sexual assault on a woman at an address in Ormskirk on January 24th and after enquiries we arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of rape. He has been bailed pending further enquiries."
