A teenager attacked an officer in the street before running away.
Officers from Merseyside Police were called to Piele Road in Prescot at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, December 12, following reports of a domestic incident involving a teenage boy. Once officers arrived at the scene, they stopped and spoke to a teenager, who then became aggressive.
Police said the teenager assaulted an officer before running away from the area. A 17-year-old boy was arrested a short time later.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug and possession of a controlled Class B drug. He has now been released under investigation.
