Police attended after two people made their way onto the top of a city centre building.
Merseyside Police were called to Houghton Street at 5.40pm on Saturday (October 28). Two people, described as "youths" by a force spokesperson, were on the roof of a building on the street.
Several police vehicles attended the scene and a cordon was put in place.

At around 7.45pm, Merseyside Police confirmed that the people had come down from the roof and were with officers.
