A crash involving two cars led to a significant emergency service response this evening.
Emergency services were called to a crash involving a red Vauxhall and a red Ford at the junction of Rice Lane and Hornby Road in Walton at 5.47pm today (January 28). Both cars were damaged, with the Vauxhall's bonnet and front end sustaining significant damage.
A number of police vehicles were present at the scene. Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service also attended the incident, in order to assist police.

There were no injuries reported. Fire & Rescue staff left the scene around 6.20pm while police remained to clear debris from the road.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO that officers were called at 5.47pm to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Rice Lane. The incident resulted in damage to the cars but no injuries were reported.
