Drivers using the Mersey Tunnels over the next week will face a series of overnight closures.
Essential maintenance work will be taking place in the Queensway Tunnel (Birkenhead) over the next week. The tunnel will be closed to all traffic between 9pm and 6.30am over four separate evenings for nine and a half hours.
During the closure, the Kingsway (Wallasey) Tunnel will remain fully open in both directions, with people being encouraged to use this instead.

The overnight closures will take place between 9pm and 6.30am on Monday 6, Tuesday 7, Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9. The Thursday closures will be in place until 6.30am on Friday, February 10.
Merseytravel posted information about the planned closures on their website.
They said: "The Queensway (Birkenhead) Mersey Tunnel will be closed to all traffic on the following nights whilst we undertake essential maintenance work. During the closure of the Queensway (Birkenhead) Mersey Tunnel, the Kingsway (Wallasey) Mersey Tunnel will remain fully open in both directions.
"The above information is currently correct but closures may be subject to change."
