A man has been charged on suspicion of murdering Liam Humphreys in Toxteth.
Three people were slashed and stabbed in an incident in a block of flats at the corner of Upper Warwick Street and Hillaby Close on Sunday, December 10. One of the victims, a 28-year-old man, called Liam Humphreys died from his injuries.
Two other victims, a man and woman in their 30s, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Officers confirmed that the man in his 30s remains in hospital, where he is in a critical but stable condition. The woman is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

Ian Scott, 37, of Hillaby Close, has now been charged with the murder of Liam Humphreys. He has also been charged with attempted murder and s18 assault. He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Thursday December 14.
Mr Humphreys' family released a tribute, they said: "Our Teddy bear Liam died on 10th December. He was the most caring, loving beautiful soul.
"The light has gone from our lives, the room has gone dark forever and the world a more empty place. There is no light left for us. As a family we are devastated and heartbroken by the loss of Liam. He was amazing and so, so loved and will be forever missed."
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We have charged a 37-year-old man with murder following an incident at a block of flats in Hillaby Close in Toxteth on Sunday 10th December.
"Ian Scott, of Hillaby Close, has also been charged with attempted murder and s18 assault. He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Thursday 14th December."
