Marks & Spencer has given shoppers a sneak peek of what the retails giant's new Liverpool store will look like.
M&S has now confirmed the new store is set to open this August in the building on South John Street that was home to the Liverpool ONE Debenhams up until its closure in May 2021. The 100,000 sq ft store will be spread across two floors including what has been described as a "next generation" food hall.
The store will also feature a café, a dedicated coffee-to-go section, an in-store bakery, food-to-go aisle and an extensive fresh fruit and vegetable selection. Other departments include clothing and home sections and a beauty department.

M&S will be leaving its current location in Church Street's Compton House which it has called home since 1928. The retail giant has put QR codes at the self service tills of its Church Street store which shoppers can scan to find out more about its new store.
The QR code takes you to an M&S Liverpool Facebook page dedicated to the new Liverpool ONE store, with photos and videos showing how it is expected to look inside.
In a post this week, M&S said: "We are on our way…Liverpool are you ready? We couldn't be more excited to bring our brand new store to Liverpool ONE offering the very best of M&S.
"August 2023 will see the doors open to a brand defining store offering our customers a digital end to end retail experience set in our latest store concept…..we can not wait for you to see it!"
Photos show what the Liverpool store's new 'clothing and home concept' will look like as well as its beauty department with best-selling hair and makeup brands.
Pete Dobson, regional manager at M&S, said in a previous statement: "We’re really excited to announce the relocation of our M&S store into the heart of the city in Liverpool ONE.
