The Met Office has given its forecast amid some reports the UK could be battered by snow next week.
Some outlets are reporting parts of the country could be hit with huge snowfalls due to "polar air".
The Met Office's forecast for Liverpool predicts some morning rain on Thursday morning, which will then turn to sunnier spells by the afternoon. We can expect highs of 10C and lows of 4C.

Friday is then to be "mostly dry" and patchy drizzle, again with highs of 10C. The weekend through to Monday will see temperatures "generally above averaged" with spells of cloud, rain, and drizzle.
In its long-range UK forecast, though, Met Office experts have said there could be "wintry showers" in the north of England. Its predictions in full from Monday, December 18, to Wednesday, December 27, are as follows: "Through most of next week conditions will be mild and breezy.
"Whilst some rain is possible at times, for many central and southern parts of the UK, there will be a good deal of dry and bright weather. More unsettled further north and west with spells of rain more frequent and probably heavy at times.
"Later next week, in the run up to Christmas, there are indications of rain and showers developing more widely. There is also a chance of winds switching to more of a north-westerly direction, allowing conditions to become a little colder, with a risk of some wintry showers developing in the north.
"However, at this stage there is little sign of any widespread or severe cold and wintry weather."
Elsewhere forecaster Accuweather is predicting that snow could fall in Liverpool on three days over Christmas. Its forecast for Saturday, December 23, reads: "A mix of snow and rain" with highs of 7C and lows of 2C. On Sunday, December 24, or Christmas Eve, it predicts: "Rain and snow at times becoming all rain", and on December 26, or Boxing Day, it said we can expect "Considerable cloudiness; a mix of snow and rain in the morning, followed by a shower in spots in the afternoon".
