A matchday favourite takeaway has announced it's opening a new venue opposite Bramley Moore Dock.

Hot Wok Bar on Langham Street, Walton, announced on social media they would be opening a new venue opposite Bramley Moore Dock. It comes as Everton FC are due to move into their new stadium in late in 2024.

The Hot Wok has proven a long term stop off for match going Everton fans before and after games at Goodison Park, with a mural of club legends including Duncan Ferguson and Howard Kendall painted on the side of the venue. So when it announced it would be "moving with the toffees" fans were over the moon.

The announcement read: "We are excited to announce our new venue, opposite BMD, has achieved full planning permission for an aparthotel, bar and takeaway. We look forward to moving with the toffees. Look at the view from our window. Thank you for your continued support."

In a second tweet it added that The Aparthotel is now available to book, but there is no availability left for weekends in August. The hotel sleeps 13 people and includes a sauna and video wall.

Hundreds of people congratulated the business in the comments.

One said: "Brilliant news hopefully the other businesses around Goodison can follow us there as well."

Another added: "Congratulations to you all. Wishing you much success in your new venture. Wonderful view."

Another user said: "Brilliant news, so glad that you guys could make the move. This will take your business to the next level. Get in early and provide the workers with lunch options."
