Marks and Spencer shoppers are loving the retailer’s dupe for a popular cleaning balm.

Dupeshop has posted a video to its Instagram account sharing the M&s dupe. Dupeshop is a company that helps you find “affordable money-saving alternatives and dupes for popular makeup, skincare and fragrance products in the UK”.

In the video, the page claims the M&S Pure Cleanse Rose Cleansing Balm is ‘almost identical’ to Elemis’ Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. They said: “Wait, has the world seriously gone mad?

“Please explain why you are paying £46 to clean your filthy skin when we have now realised that M&S has a perfect dupe for the famous Elemis Cleansing Balm. Despite being a quarter of the price, the dupe contains some of the same key ingredients and it performs almost identically.”

The caption added: “Sweet Almond Oil is the most highly-concentrated ingredient in both cleansers! Also, both of these cleaners contain the following key ingredients: Shea Butter (which helps the skin to not become dry after cleansing). Citrus Fruit Oil. Rose Flower Oil.”

Beneath the video, many shoppers got excited about the dupe. One person said: “I bought the M&S on this recommendation and I love it. My skin feels and looks amazing. I'm converted.”

A second wrote: “I need to try this”. Another added: “Have been using this for months it’s amazing!”

M&S’ Pure Cleanse Rose Cleansing Balm is priced at £12, while the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm would set shoppers back £48. This means shoppers could save around £36 by opting for the M&S dupe.

You can shop the M&S version online at Ocado here or in your nearest M&S. The Elemis cleansing balm is available here.
