M&S shoppers are loving a new pair of trousers that get them “compliments every time.”
TikTok user Emily Lockwood shared a reel showcasing the Jersey Elasticated Waist Flared Trousers from M&S. The post was captioned: “Thank me later”, while text over the video read: “You need these flares from M&S.”
The video proved popular on TikTokm racking up 21.8k likes and more than 100 comments from excited shoppers. The trousers have also garnered more than 170 five star reviews on the M&S website. Among the reviews, one person said: “Fit amazing, get compliments every time I wear them. So comfy.”
A second wrote: “These trousers are sooooo perfect in every way. So comfortable, fit like a glove and pull in your stomach and give you a bottom like no others. I need to buy more so please bring them back.” A third added: “Bought these for my mum for Christmas they are a lovely fit they look really smart and she said they are very comfortable- looking to buy another pair in a different colour.”
Another shopper said: “I love these trousers. I had already bought them in navy and bought the black ones as soon as they came back in stock. The fabric has good stretch and density and they hug the body down to the knees.
“I would, however, agree with others who commented on the tight waistband. It was a bit of a struggle to get them over my hips but once on they look great. At 5’9” the regular would be fine for me with flats and trainers but I bought the long to wear with heeled boots.”
However, a number of shoppers did mention that the sizing felt “off” to them. One said: “I had to return these. I have size 8 everything from M&S and I couldn't get these past my thighs. Material was quite thick and I'm sure they would have been great but the sizing is off. Can't comment on the length because I couldn't get them on.”
