A biker who was tragically killed in a serious crash has been named locally as Jason Threlfall.
Mr Threlfall, 36, died after his Kawasaki Z900 motorbike collided with a white Kia Sportage car at the junction of Stadium Road and Commercial Road in Bromborough at 7.55am yesterday, January 10. The area was closed for more than four hours as police and ambulance services rushed to the scene. Stadium Road was cordoned off between Caldbeck Road and Georgia Avenue, with passing cars being diverted around the nearby Croft Retail and Leisure Park.
A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

Friends have paid tribute to the 36-year-old "Nocky legend" on Facebook.
Former schoolmate Jamie Jones said: "Absolutely gutted man, had some memories with you lad from primary school class (through) to high school class, then to you fixing (my) vans. Never forget (our) times f***ing about in school mate, good times looking back."
Tony Jones said: "Absolutely gobsmacked hearing the news about Jason. Known you since you was a pup with our Jamie and the younger lads. Thoughts with all your family. Words can’t say enough mate. R.I.P mate."
Lee Walker said: "Another Nocky legend gone far too soon."
Robert Burgess said: "Rip my mate Jason Threlly… he was one of the good ones always laughing and joking. He will be missed".
