A man is in hospital after falling from a bridge at Ormskirk Train Station.
British Transport Police were called to the train station before 7pm on Thursday, September 14. Officers had received reports of a man falling from an overhead bridge and onto the railway tracks.
The North West Air Ambulance Charity sent a helicopter to the scene to assist the North West Ambulance Service and British Transport Police. The police have now confirmed the man was taken to hospital, where he is in a stable condition and recovering.

A tweet from the force said: "BTP Merseyside attended an incident yesterday evening at Ormskirk Railway Station following a report that a male had fallen from an overhead bridge onto the railway tracks. The male is now in a stable condition and recovering in hospital."
