A Liverpool restaurant has kept its Christmas decorations up after experiencing an increased demand for bookings.

Bootle restaurant 14 Bar and Grill has decided to bring some joy to January by keeping its winter wonderland on display until January 29. The rooftop venue has been decorated with 40,000 baubles and 300 garlands.

The festive decorations have proved to be popular with diners, with the restaurant experiencing a surge in demand during the traditionally quiet January period. Bookings doubled across December and into January, with many diners keen to enjoy the magical decorations.

The restaurant is situated on the 14th floor of Daniel House and serves up a menu of homemade dishes, delicious cocktails and drinks. Since its doors opening in 2019, 14 Bar and Grill has attracted celebrity diners including Jamie Carragher and Coleen Rooney.

Beth Begg, creative and operations director for 14 Bar and Grill, said: "We have been overwhelmed with requests from guests who didn't have a chance to pop in over the Christmas period to see our festive extravaganza.

"The period immediately after Christmas is usually quiet, but we have enjoyed a recent spike in bookings. With January blues in full swing, we took the decision to keep our decorations on display until the end of the month. I hope it will give our lovely customers something to smile about."
