Signed by owners Enzo and Arianna, the Instagram and Facebook statement said: "Carmine's is open all weekend and will close its doors for good, on Sunday 29th of January. We are about to embark on a new and exciting adventure that will take us away from our beloved Liverpool and we are left with no other option but closing doors.

"No sad note and no rant about how tough the hospitality industry is these days. Life is hard no matter the sector. On the contrary, we just wanted to say thank you all. Nothing more.

Another added: "Your business has been a breath of fresh air for the area. Its a shame that it is to end. But we whole heartedly ,wish you all the health, happiness, and success for the future."
