Liverpool as you've never seen it before as Eurovision superfans take over waterfront
Merseyside's party spirit was on full display as the Pier Head was transformed
Eurovision fever has swept across the city this week as the international song contest arrived in Liverpool.
Merseyside has embraced the Eurovision spirit as the iconic waterfront has been transformed into a Eurovillage. Across the week, acts such as The Lightning Seeds, Miles Kane and Sophie Ellis-Bextor have thrilled the crowd with amazing performances.
The party atmosphere continued today ahead of the showpiece event as acts such as Vengaboys, Claire Richards from Steps and Jedward had the crowd bouncing. Glorious sunshine arrived on the final day and thousands donned their most glamourous outfits as the waterfront became awash with a sea of glorious colour.
ECHO photographers have captured the party in full flow as the Pier Head as it has never looked before. We have included some of our favourite photos of the waterfront from the final day of Eurovision below
