A road in Liverpool is closed and thick smoke has filled the street after a house fire.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue engines are at Libra Close, Dovecot, after a fire broke out at a property this afternoon, May 27.
Thick smoke has filled the street and Merseyside Police are also in attendance.

Statement from Merseyside Fire & Rescue
Crews have been called to a house fire at Libra Close, L14 this afternoon. Three fire engines are in attendance. Crews were alerted at 1.30pm and on scene at 1.36pm.
Crews arrived to find a two storey semi-detached property with the ground floor well alight. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the house and began fighting the fire with two high pressure hose reels.
The fire has spread through the roof space to the neighbouring property so an additional two firefighters were fighting fire in this area with a hose reel jet.
Merseyside Police are in attendance assisting with traffic management- motorists and residents nearby should avoid the area if possible.
The main body of fire has now been extinguished and firefighters are damping down internally and externally.
