A Jet 2 flight to Ibiza was forced to suddenly turn around last night.
The LS171 flight departed from Manchester Airport on Wednesday and was en-route to the paradise Spanish island. The flight took off 30 minutes later than scheduled at around 5.45pm and was due to landed in the Balearic Islands at 9pm.
However, the plane u-turned over the English Channel and diverted back to Manchester Airport. A flight path shows how the plane headed towards the North West of England – as M.E.N reports.

The flight path shows how the plane circled twice over the Peak District on its way back to Manchester.
Jet2 responded to a user on Twitter and confirmed the flight was "delayed due to unforeseen operational reasons." Jet2 is yet to confirm the full details surrounding the incident and has been approached for comment.
