Coronation Street's Tony Maudsley has been flooded with support as he announced a sad loss.

The soap star is renowned for his role as George Shuttleworth on the Cobbles and as Kenneth Du Beke on Benidorm. Yesterday he shared an appeal on Instagram to find Michael McGarrigle, who worked as a costume supervisor on the ITV sitcom.

However, he took to the social media platform last night and said the "valued member of the Benidorm family" has died. The 55-year-old from Kirkby said: "Thank you so much to everyone for all your efforts in reposting our appeal to find Michael yesterday.
