A whopping million-pound home has been put on the market in Liverpool.

The sprawling property is found on Fulwood Park, a private estate in Aigburth which many locals don't even know exists. Described as a "hidden oasis" the secret street dates backs to the 16th century but now it's lined with modern residential homes.

Many of the homes sit behind tall walls, gates and hedges, for additional privacy and the detached four bedroom house, Riverside View, is no different. It's on the market with The Property Experts for £1,300,000 after being purchased in 2017 for £540,000 and refurbished.

Properties in Aigburth had an overall average price of £252,726 over the last year, according to Rightmove. Most of the sales in the area during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £228,149.

Flats sold for an average of £166,273, with semi-detached properties fetching £390,050. Overall, sold prices in the last 12 months were similar to the previous year and 4% up on the 2021 peak of £243,860.

In roads closest to Fulwood Park, however, homes are much more expensive than average. For example The Nook, on Fulwood Park, sold after being listed for £1,100,000 and Jericho Farm Close sold after being listed for £518,000.

Images on Rightmove show that the home boasts a large driveway, with enough space for multiple cars. There's also the additional benefit of a double garage in the front.

While there's no floor plan available, images show there's a large entrance hall which has a cloakroom and downstairs toilet. There are multiple reception rooms including a family snug which can double as a home office or a playroom.

The back of the home has a partial open plan layout with bifold doors which lead directly to the garden. A newly fitted kitchen includes fully integrated appliances and mod-cons including a hot water tap.

Upstairs there is a landing with gallery area overlooking the entrance hall. The main bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and a balcony split into three sections overlooking the garden. Luxury features include a jacuzzi bath and a TV that also acts as a mirror.

One other bedroom has an en-suite shower room while the remaining two share a family bathroom. In the back garden the luxuries continue, with composite decking, a swimming pool, a hot tub and an outdoor seating area .

The Property Expert listing reads: "It is a pleasure to introduce to the sales market this impressive four-bedroom detached family home located in the private estate of Fulwood Park with leafy views and a private entrance to the Chinese Gardens. The property itself is very spacious with large driveway, double garage and rear garden that include a swimming pool, hot tub and composite decking.

"To the rear there is a split garden with composite decking, swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor seating area at the front then beyond a line of trees a turfed garden with kids play area." For more information and images, visit Rightmove here.
