I got a Ninja Air Fryer and here’s why it was the best decision ever

Being an affiliates writer means I've written a lot about air fryers, and I've seen how incredibly popular they are with shoppers.

However, while writing about these nifty little products, I felt like I was missing out big time – because I didn't have one. I'd heard so much about air fryers, not just from our readers, but from my friends and family too.

I was one of those people who thought they were overrated, and perhaps undeserving of all the hype. However, after seeing the Ninja 7.6L Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer had been reduced on the Ninja website to £169 instead of £219.00, I chatted with my parents and decided to go halves with them for a Christmas present.

I can honestly say after using it basically every day since purchasing it, I can't believe it's taken me this long to take the plunge. Here's why.

What's so special about the Ninja air fryer?

So, the one thing I love about this air fryer is the fact you can combine two different foods to finish cooking at the same time. It has a sync feature, which means if you put two different items in each of the drawers and they'll both finish cooking at the same time without any fuss.

It has a 7.6L capacity, which is more than enough for two people, with dishwasher-safe parts. The Ninja features six different cooking functions including max crisp, roast, bake, reheat, dehydrate and air fry.

When I saw the hype of it being '75% faster than fan ovens' I wasn't too sure what to think. But, after using it on a daily basis, I can confirm the speed of the gadget is very impressive.

Let's just say, I put a rasher of bacon in the air fryer on 'max crisp' and it was done in just over four minutes. That's pretty incredible, right?

I think the best part about this air fryer is that when you've had a long day at work and you can't be bothered to faff about with the oven, it's a godsend. I've particularly enjoyed using it when making roast dinners, because it's so quick and easy.

Last weekend I made a roast dinner in my Ninja, and I couldn't believe how juicy the chicken was. The skin was crispy, but the meat was full of flavour.

Sometimes, I find that a roast chicken can dry up in the oven, but not with the Ninja! In fact, I've found that with other types of meats too such as mince burgers and even frozen sausages.

Full features of the Ninja air fryer include:

  • Suggested for 6+ portions.
  • 7.6 litre capacity.
  • Includes dishwasher safe parts.
  • Removable bowl.
  • 2 cooking compartments.
  • Size H31.5, W38, D26.5cm.
  • Weight 8.2kg.
  • 0.8m cable.
  • Digital timer.
  • Variable temperature from 40°C to 240°C.
  • Safety cut out.
  • 2400 watts.
  • Box contents: 2 x 3.8L non-stick drawers, 2 x non-stick crisper plates and recipe guide.

The Ninja is perfect for quick bits and bobs such as chips and sides, but it's also great for main meals too. Its handy sync features makes cooking a meal easy, cost effective and quite fun.

Granted, it's an expensive investment, but if you think you're going to get some good use out of it then I'd definitely recommend making the investment. I'm so glad I did.

You can get the same Ninja 7.6L Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer and Dehydrator as me for £219.99 here. Be sure to keep an eye out for Boxing Day and January sales.

Elsewhere, Dunelm is selling this 4L Manual Air Fryer with an adjustable temperature range between 60-220 degrees.
