It's hard to believe the noughties were over 20 years ago, but a lot of events from the period live fondly in our memories today.
Liverpool city centre saw many transformations in the decade with Liverpool ONE opening and attracting thousands of visitors to the city. We also saw Brookside come to a close as it aired its final episode in the early noughties.
From Liverpool's celebrations of the millennium to the huge events taking place to mark the city being named as
in 2008, the noughties were a memorable time.
