Aldi shoppers can now get a haul from the supermarket for a third of the price thanks to a new service.
The budget retailer has joined forces with Too Good To Go to offer "magic bags" containing a range of grocery items that are approaching their sell-by or use-by dates at less than a third of the price, costing just £3.30 each to purchase for at least £10 worth of food.
Aldi is rolling out the scheme across all 990 of its UK stores.

To get a Magic Bag, shoppers can simply download the free Too Good To Go app and search for their nearby Aldi store, before reserving a bag to collect from the store at an allotted time.
The nationwide roll out is expected to save a further 4,000 tonnes of food from going to waste annually and will form a key part of Aldi’s ongoing commitment to cut food waste.
Commenting on the news in a Facebook group for Aldi fans, one shopper said: "I got so much for a few quid. Most of it went straight in the freezer". A second happy customer said: "I got lots of fruit and veg, made soups and smoothies and froze them. Same with the bread and cheese".
Aldi bosses said all UK stores will continue to donate surplus food to local causes 365 days of the year. Since 2019, the supermarket has donated more than 30 million meals via its successful partnership with Neighbourly.
