‘High-risk’ missing schoolgirls, aged 12 and 14, may be in Liverpool

Police believe two "high-risk" missing schoolgirls may be in Liverpool.

Katelan Coates, 14, and Olivia Makin, 12, have gone missing from Todmorden in West Yorkshire and officers believe they are together. Detectives have said that Katelan is known to visit Liverpool and Manchester and could be in the area.

The 14-year-old is believed to be with Olivia, who is also being described as a "high risk missing person" , alongside her friend. Officers shared pictures of the missing girls on social media last night, July 10, as part an appeal to find them.

They also shared a picture of the pair together, the MEN reports. Katelan is described as a white female, who is of medium-build and has shoulder-length brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a beige top, with a black furry coat, black leggings and sunglasses. Olivia is described as a white female, who has long, brown curly hair and was last seen wearing a black school uniform.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is being urged to get in touch. Police can be contacted by calling 101 with log 1522 10/07/223, or 1649 10/07/23.

A spokesperson for the force said: "High-risk missing person Katelan Coates 14yrs old, missing from Todmorden; she is a white female, medium build, shoulder length brown hair, beige top, black furry coat, black leggings and sunglasses. Known to frequent Manchester and Liverpool areas. She is believed to be in company with another high-risk missing person Olivia Makin."
