Classic Christmas characters and new favourites will crusade through the streets of Kirkby this week.
Familiar faces including Father Christmas, The Grinch and Buddy the Elf, along with a range of other colourful characters, will come together to make the local community smile.
Friends Franny Briggs, Jay Murray and Andrea Roberts have been meeting up to bring the Kirkby Christmas Crusade to the town, with the event now moving into its fourth year.

The crusade started as a way to keep spirits high with children after COVID-19 closed Santa's grottos in 2020. Now an annual tradition in the area, the Kirkby Christmas Crusade has gone from strength to strength, building on the success of each year prior.
Throughout the event, those involved will hand out – or have the cheeky elves throw – thousands of selection boxes to kids who line the streets and enjoy the show.
The crusade's giveaways have been made possible through people's generosity with all ages and communities chipping in with donations. A poster competition is also available which sees kids create a homemade sign to hold up during the crusade.
The sleigh will stop for a photo with each child and the top three, after an online vote, will receive One4all vouchers, with £50 going to the winner, £30 to the runner-up and £20 to third place.
The first night of the crusade takes place on Thursday, December 14, running until Saturday, December 16. Donations to the crusade can be dropped off at Graffik's, Kirkby, 13 Market Square, Liverpool, L32 8RG.
