Harrods has been cordoned off after a man was stabbed inside the famous London department store.

A man in his 20s was found in the Knightsbridge store at around 7.30pm on Saturday night with stab and slash injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital, where his condition has since been assessed as non-life threatening.

Photos circulating online show police cars parked outside the department store on Brompton Road.

Another appeared to suggest the attack took place within the Louis Vuitton section of the department store.

A previous knife attack near Harrods in December 2019 resulted in the death of one man in what police suspected was an attempted robbery.

Mohammed Al-Araimi, 20, was stabbed to death in an alleyway near the famous Knightsbridge department store, with another man, Nasser Kanoo, 22, injured in the attack.

Both men were wearing expensive watches worth thousands of pounds. Al-Araimi was stabbed in the chest and collapsed by the Harrods Christmas tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Badir Al-Nazi, 24, was found guilty of murder and intent to cause grievous bodily harm in 2021, and given a life sentence with a minimum term of 27 years.
