A handwritten note referencing the murder of Anthony Walker was discovered in the bedroom of a girl accused of murdering Brianna Ghey.

The teenager and a boy, both of whom are aged 16 and cannot be named for legal reasons, are currently standing trial at Manchester Crown Court charged with 16-year-old Brianna's murder after she was stabbed 28 times in the head, neck, back and chest during a "sustained and violent assault" in Culcheth Linear Park in Warrington on February 11 this year. Girl X, from Warrington, and Boy Y, from Leigh, both deny this count and "blame each other".

Deanna Heer KC told the court during the prosecution's opening last week that messages between the two youths in the weeks and months before the stabbing "showed a preoccupation with violence and torture and death". The then 15-year-olds were also said to have discussed killing other children who they knew.

Prosecution junior Cheryl Mottram read a series of agreed facts – evidence which is not disputed between parties in the case – to a jury of seven men and five women yesterday afternoon, Thursday. She described how a second search of Girl X's bedroom was carried out by Cheshire Police on March 17 2023.

Items seized on this occasion included a tablet computer and a black Pukka notebook which were found on the bed. The latter included revision homework and calculations, as well as a picture displaying the word "anarchy" and a "list of what is right and wrong".

This contained two headings, one headed "Christian" and the other titled "Sikh" with "various rights and wrongs" underneath. Another page contained a spider diagram with the words "good" and "evil", which had various terms emanating from it – including "forgiveness", "justice", "morality", "suffering", "morality is all relative", "punishment", "sin" and "free will".

A further small notebook was found on Girl X’s bed. Ms Mottram told the court that it contained a list of “attributes” of two males.

She added: "Over the page we have another list relating to Boy O, and Boy O has a heart next to his name. We have types of serial killers.

"There’s a list there under that heading. That reads organised, disorganised, organised and disorganised, crime spree, mass murderer, psychopathic sexual sadist, custodial, physiotic organised crime and copycat."

Girl X also gave a list of her favourite films. On page 27 was a list of initials beneath the heading "potential threats/people that need to go" while a "list of attributes or qualities" was found underneath Boy Y's name on page 28.

This list included terms such as "trustworthy", "funny", "sociopath", "good sense of humour", "very, very smart", "genius level" and "not sociable". A further handwritten note was discovered in a black handbag in a "built-in cubby hole".

It was headed "Friday 11th November: Attitudes to Forgiveness". It contained two names, one of which was that of Gee Walker, whom it stated "forgives her son Anthony's killer".

Anthony Walker was aged 18 when he was killed in a racist attack in Huyton in 2005. The note continued: "Julie Nicholson, who could not forgive the terrorists who killed her daughter Jenny."

A further three handwritten notes were recovered from the floor. Ms Mottram said: "We have a page headed serial killer facts.

"There’s a list of facts relating to serial killers. Usually obsessed with manipulation and control. Killing themselves in police custody can be a final act of control.”

The note continued: “Signs of a serial killer. Cruelty to animals, fire setting, persistent bedwetting, violent behaviours, sexually predatory behaviour.

"USA has the most serial killers. Many serial killers are survivors of early childhood abuse, can be superficially charming."

Meanwhile, a folded written note was found inside a drawer was headed with the underlined word "plan" and said: "Give them alcohol with sleeping pills. Slit throat."

An arrow which shown pointing from "slit throat" to the bottom of the page, where it says "I kill her" was written. The note continued: "Dismember body, place pieces in bin bags.

"Bury bags 7ft underground, bones including. Get her to go to Linear Park, hidden spot near bridges.

"Someone jumps out and restrains her. (Plan B)"

The various notes also made references to serial killers including Jeffrey Dahmer, the "Killer Clown" John Wayne Gacy, "Dr Death" Harold Shipman, the "Night Stalker" Richard Ramirez and the "Water Street Butcher". The trial, before Mrs Justice Yip, continues.
