Schools have been closed across Merseyside due to the snow.
Snow began to fall overnight, leading to many waking up to "hazardous" conditions. Many schools across the region have made the decision to close because of the weather.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning in the region, as "further snow showers, perhaps merging into a longer spell of snow, are likely to cause further disruption" on Tuesday, January 16. The weather warning will be in place for Liverpool and Wirral until Thursday, January 18.

Gateacre School and Archbishop Blanch were the first to announce their closure due to the snow. A spokesperson for Gateacre School said: "Due to the hazardous weather conditions, school will be closed today."
While Archbishop Blanch said: "Due to the adverse weather conditions, school is closed today. More information will be sent later on this morning."
