A woman was rescued out of her car after crashing on the motorway.
Cheshire police and fire crews were called to reports of an incident, involving one car, on the M53 southbound near to junction 7, Ellesmere Port. At the scene at around 8.25am on Thursday, December 28, they found a red Vauxhall Adam was involved in a crash on the slip road.
Three fire crews from Ellesmere Port, Chester and Powey Lane attended and removed the roof of the car to free the driver, a woman, who was trapped. The woman was then taken to hospital by paramedics after suffering non-life threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "At 8.25am today, Thursday 28 December, police were called to reports of a collision on the M53 near to junction 7. Officers attended and found that a red Vauxhall Adam had been involved in a collision on the slip road.
"The driver of the car, a woman, was treated at the scene by paramedics and has since been taken to Aintree Hospital, here injuries are not believed to be life threatening." Cheshire fire and rescue service confirmed: "Crews were called to a collision involving one vehicle on the M53 Southbound carriageway.
"Firefighters carried out a roof removal to extricate one casualty, who was then handed into the care of paramedics. A temporary road closure was put in place on the slip road at junction 7."
