The family of a much loved dad who "always had a smile on his face" want to give him a send off he deserves.

Jason Threlfall died when his motorbike and a Kia Sportage car collided at the junction of Stadium Road and Commercial Road, Bromborough. The incident happened at around 7.55am on Wednesday, January 10 and the driver of the Kia stopped at the scene.

In a tribute, his family described the 36 year old as a "beautiful soul who kept himself to himself yet was loved by all who knew him." Now, a fundraising page has been set up in the hopes of giving Jason the "best funeral and memorial he deserves."

Set up by cousin Alex Menzies, the fundraising page has already raised more than £800, with a target of £1,000. The page reads: "Hi my name is Alex I am Jason’s cousin. I am trying to raise as much funds as possible to give Jason who was sadly taken from us the best funeral and memorial he deserves.

"On Wednesday 10th January Jason was riding his motorbike to work when he was sadly knocked off it, leaving his whole family and friends and everyone who knew him devastated. He was the most amazing person always had a smile on his face, always making people laugh, done everything he possibly could to help anyone.

"He touched so many peoples hearts and didn’t deserve to be taken He is loved by so many and has left a big hole in everyone’s hearts. Jason was more than an inspiration he was an amazing father a brother a lover and a son and our whole family world’s been ripped apart. He did not deserve this.

"He was so hardworking and if he wasn’t working he was with his family or doing what he loved out on his motorbike or on the Xbox. So if anyone could donate even as little as possible to it, it would be highly appreciated and would be going to an amazing cause."

Anyone wishing to donate can do so by clicking here. Tributes also continue to pour in on the fundraising page, that was set up earlier this month.

One person wrote: "Rip Jase, gone far too soon, you were like a brother growing up." Another added: "Another young life taken too soon."
