An expert has revealed the three foods that are said to fix your gut health in seven days.
To avoid problems such as constipation, heartburn and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), it's important to eat the right foods. But just because you don’t notice any symptoms, it doesn’t mean you have good gut health.
Even if you put the healthiest food into your body, if you don’t have a healthy intestinal lining to digest it, you won’t get all the benefits of what you are eating. Dr Sethi who is a Gastroenterologist who studied at Harvard University posted a video to his TikTok explaining what three foods will fix your gut health in seven days.

The video has since racked up 3.7 million views. In the video Dr Sethi said: “Three foods that will change your gut health in seven days. Number one is yoghurt.
“A study published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology found that the consumption of yoghurt containing the probiotic lactobacillus acidophilus and bifido bacterium lactis improved gut health including reduced bloating.
Dr Sethi then explained the second foot to change your gut health is curcumin. This is the active ingredient in tumeric. He explained it: “has been shown to have antioxidants that can improve your gut health.”
Finally, Dr Sethi said that the third food is carom seeds which are also known as ‘ajwain’. According to a scientific study published in the Journal of Phytotherapy Research, carom seeds may help to improve gut health by reducing inflammation and promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
