Emergency services have closed a road in both directions following a "police incident".
Merseyside Police were called to Saunders Street in Southport at 8.50pm on Monday, December 4. Eyewitnesses have reported seeing police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service at the scene.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police confirmed officers were in the area due to an "ongoing investigation" following a crash. No further information was able to be given at this time.

Merseyside Police Contact Centre also posted an update on social media.
It said: "Police are currently dealing with a RTC along Southport Promenade. The road is blocked so please find an alternative route and avoid the area."
Traffic monitoring service INRIX is reporting Saunders Street is closed in both directions due to "an accident" between Promenade and Knowsley Road.
