    Crowds of men, women and children gathered in the street in Birkdale to honour a popular bar manager who died suddenly. Robbie Wilson, 29, made his final journey to the Burscough Crematorium as dozens of people stopped what they were doing to honour the "beautiful soul."

    A man is channelling his dad's passion to save a market vital to his local community. Stephen Yemi Dairo co-runs the only market in the Tuebrook area with the city council and said he was inspired by watching how his dad worked back in Nigeria where he was born.

    Families gathered on the Mersey Ferry to remember those they lost during the covid-19 pandemic. Thursday marked the three-year anniversary of the first lockdown, and the grieving families dropped rose petals into the Mersey in their memory.

  2. Fans honour idol as Sir Elton John arrives in Liverpool – Thursday 23

    Sir Elton John arrived in the city on Thursday for one of two nights of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and the true fans came out in force to honour their idol. The Rocketman singer called the Liverpool gig "one of his top five shows ever."
