Eerie footage was captured of an abandoned school that had old photos and classrooms left untouched inside.
Clarence High School in Formby closed around five years ago due to "financial pressures" which left the company running it, Nugent Care, to announce the closure. The school provided educational placements for girls and boys aged seven to 19 years old, with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and who may also experienced associated difficulties, including those on the autistic spectrum.
Since its closure, the school has been left abandoned and remained empty. The school, which sits on West Lane, once hosted hundreds of pupils at a time but had just 25 pupils at the time of its closure.

Footage taken by urban explorer Daniel Sims – known as BeardedReality on YouTube and Instagram – shows how the school has continued to rot. In the 32 minute video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Daniel took a tour around the premises with friends.
Inside, Daniel and his friends found untouched artwork made by former students, trophies and wall art. Old photos, computers and projectors were also found. A brown door was also discovered by Daniel with words and numbers which had been scratched on to it.
However, in some rooms bookshelves had fallen over, books were strewn on the floor and water was leaking and causing damage.
Speaking to the ECHO, the 34-year-old said: "The place itself is quite creepy with it being left and going on a night explore of the place. It was shocking to see the space that is wasted and so much wasted left behind.
"The place as well has seen a bit of damage from copper thieves when we went there was extensive water damage and leaks everywhere, we even tried to turn the water off but it was the pipes themselves which were stolen. While looking around we saw some really strange and awesome things and what was like a lot of stuff for putting on performances.
"I knew it was an [additional] needs school so it is disappointing that it no longer exists for this purpose. Plenty of windows had been smashed in this property which allowed us open access to the entire place and moving to the top floor we found some much older items and pictures which is always amazing to see."
