With the change in seasons fast-approaching, many of us can expect to see foxes in our gardens and around our homes in the coming weeks.
And while the creatures are generally harmless, and do not attack unless threatened or captured, many people would still rather they didn't go near their lawns or plants. Thankfully there are some tips you can use to keep them at bay – one of which uses an item that costs 29p.
Gardening experts at GardeningExpress.co.uk have told the ECHO how to keep foxes away from gardens and plants as things turn a little colder.

One trick is to use vinegar, as foxes have a fantastic sense of smell. They hate the smell of vinegar, which costs just 29p per bottle at Aldi, so it can be well worth putting some out in small plates across your garden.
Another method you can use is to keep your garden well-lit. Foxes prefer to roam around in the dark and won’t enter a brighter space so you could consider investing in some garden lights.
Solar lights or even a motion-sensor light would also work well to deter the animals. It is also a good idea to block entrances, and use fox deterrent products.
