A town centre building collapsed after numerous reports of it being unsafe.
The ECHO reported earlier this month that the old Conservative Club on Earle Street in Newton-le-Willows had become unstable, amid reports children had been seen playing in the derelict building.
Councillor Terry Maguire previously claimed children were in "immense danger" if they enter the premises. The building collapsed on the afternoon of February 25, with police and fire services attending to make sure no one was inside.

Cllr Maguire told the ECHO: "The collapsed building, the old Conservative club on Earle Street, has now become a major incident.
"After several reports to the council on this matter from Councillor Karl Collier and I, fire and police services are on site. The building has been in a bad way for quite some time, and it is worrying that people have reportedly has to chase kids out of the building."
Drones and robots were reportedly used by emergency services to ensure no one was in the building. Cllr Maguire added: "Luckily, there was no one in the building, the matter will now be left with building surveyors who will decide on next steps, but I would imagine the building will be pulled down."
Earle Street was reported as closed while work is carried out on the building.
