Police are trying to trace those responsible and anyone with any information is urged to make contact. Inspector Daniel Haddock said: “Throwing items from bridges puts people at risk and is a mindless act.
“This is a serious offence which could have potentially fatal consequences and we are doing all we can to locate those responsible. It is also Important to realise the repercussions that this incident could bring, not only to the offenders, to those around them if they are found to be involved in this.
“As a result, we will be upping the number of officers in the area, and anyone found to be causing harm in our communities will be dealt with robustly. I would urge anyone who has information or knows who is responsible to please get in touch with us and we will do the rest.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk or call 101.
