People came together to celebrate diversity tonight in an inspiring event at the Anglican Cathedral.
The National Diversity Awards celebrate the achievement of the positive role models who have promoted equality in today's society. The 11th edition of the ceremony was hosted by Clare Balding who spoke about the significance of the event.
The 52-year-old broadcaster said: "It's an important spotlight on those who make the world a better place for the full rainbow of society." The awards were created in 2012 after The Diversity Group identified a need to reward positive role models and empower diverse communities across the UK.
