Liverpool's only floating restaurant is up for grabs as the owner has decided to sell the boat due to "health reasons".

The Floating Grace, a barge that was turned into a restaurant, is moored at Liverpool’s UNESCO World Heritage site, Royal Albert Dock. The restaurant is opposite Liverpool’s city centre and takes customers on a scenic route along the city’s eight docks.

Throughout the week, guests can enjoy a range of dining experiences from afternoon tea to evening dinner or Sunday lunch. On special occasions, there is onboard entertainment such as singers and comedians.

Business property advisers, Christie & Co, were instructed to market the business after owner Peter Kenny decided to sell up to focus on his health.

Peter said: “I'm parting with the business due to health reasons, and it's with a heavy heart that I bid it farewell. Whoever takes over the reins of The Floating Grace is in for an incredible journey, witnessing its success and the affection people have for it.

"I'm eager to support the new owner in settling in and offering any necessary training, especially if they're new to navigating the waters of the boating industry.”

Grace Day, Business Agent at Christie & Co who is handling the sale, said: “This is a really unique opportunity and one that I am very excited to be bringing to the market. It is not every day that you get the opportunity to sell a floating restaurant and certainly not one trading so well in such a vibrant location.

"It will be interesting to see who the buyer ends up being.”
