Brookside star Linda Lusardi has revealed she was fuming after her husband broke a strip club vow.
The actor, renowned for her role as Franki Morgan in the classic Liverpool soap, appeared on today's edition of Good Morning Britain to debate whether going to a strip club should be classed as cheating on your partner. Linda has been happily married to fellow Brookside star Sam Kane since 1998 and they share two children.
The 65-year-old said going to a strip club should be classed as cheating and said she was annoyed when Sam was taken to one on his stag do by the Brookside cast. She said: "I was really upset when my husband went on a stag night.

"Well, he didn't go, he was so drunk and all the rest of the Brookside cast took him to a strip joint." She added: "I said to him, whatever you do, I don't mind you doing anything, but do not go to a lap dancing club. In 1998, they were the big thing and I said I don't want to see a picture of you in the paper at a lap dancing club. the day I'm getting married to you.
""He said 'I absolutely won't' but he got drunk and he was taken down there. The next day he did tell me on the phone and we had a big row and the wedding was almost off.
"But then the air was cleared and it was done. The rest of the cast didn't tell their other halves and it was in the paper three days later so they got it in the neck."
Today's Good Morning Britain was hosted by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard. A poll of viewers voted differently to Linda as 60% said going to a strip club shouldn't be classed as cheating.
