British singer-songwriter Raye, who recently made history with seven Brit Award nominations, is to perform at the award ceremony.

The 26 year old is the second artist confirmed as performing at the awards on March 2 at London's O2 arena, joining pop sensation Dua Lipa.

With seven nominations Raye, whose real name is Rachel Keen, surpassed the previous record of six nominations held by Gorillaz, Craig David and Robbie Williams. She earned two nominations for song of the year for her viral hit 'Escapism' and dance track 'Prada'.

Other nods include artist of the year, best new artist, best pop act and best R&B act.

The talented singer delivered an unforgettable performance at Glastonbury last summer and received a Mercury Prize nomination for her debut album, 'My 21st Century Blues'.

After last year's award ceremony sparked criticism over a lack of female representation in the gender-neutral British artist category, the Brit Awards increased the number of nominees for the prize this year from five to 10.

Following the move, female artists tip the scale for 2024 with six being recognised including pop stars Dua Lipa and Jessie Ware; newcomer Olivia Dean; Mercury Prize winners Little Simz and Arlo Parks as well as Raye.
