Boots shoppers are heaping praise on a £24 bond repair set that is "better than Olaplex".
The high street retailer is known for its array of different beauty deals on popular makeup, skincare and hair products. This time, it was the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Strong and Shiny Routine Gift Set shoppers were impressed with.
The set is usually priced at £48, but is currently on sale at Boots for £24. The set contains the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Pre-Shampoo Treatment, L’Oréal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Shampoo, L’Oréal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Conditioner and the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Leave-In Serum. It also comes with a complimentary hair clip.

The product description reads: "Hair is made up of millions of bonds that give it structure and strength. When hair bonds break through brushing, bleaching, heating, and styling, hair becomes weak and damaged. For the first time, our formula powered by Citric Acid Complex targets damaged hair.
"Hair is restored to its original strength. Up to 98% less breakage, 90% more shine & 82% stronger hair. Suitable for all types of damaged hair."
The product has a 4.4 star rating on the Boots website, with a more than 100 reviews. Among the reviews, one person said: "This is a great little bundle and makes so much difference to the hair. I am particular about what I use and this product is amazing."
A second wrote: "Saved my hair. I don't normally write reviews, but this product is defo worth it. My hair got damaged by bleach. Over the last two months I have tried different hair masks non have worked. It got to the point I could barely brush my hair due to it being tangled, dry and damaged.
"I used this stuff last night, and I couldn't believe the difference. I was able to brush my hair and it felt soft. Has it 100% fixed my hair no. But it has really helped to feel stronger and healthier and that's only after 1 use."
A third added: "My saviour! After years of chemical abuse to my hair, this has been a life saver! Breakage is virtually 0% and my hair is strong, soft, less frizzy and finally growing fuller. Thanks L'Oréal for a fab product!"
Another said: "Better than Olaplex. Been using the shampoo and conditioner for two weeks and it's on a par with Olaplex, if not better in my opinion."
However, others were not so impressed with the products. One person said: "It's ok, not sure I would buy again though as my hair does not feel any different tbh."
A second wrote: "Didn't do anything for my hair at all won't be buying again." Another added: "I brought this product a few weeks ago after reading really positive reviews. It has left my hair feeling greasy and like there is still a layer of product in my hair no matter how well I wash the product out. I now have full bottles of this product that’s just won’t get used."
